Whether the patient is having a medical
emergency or has been the victim of an accident
and injury, they could go into shock. Shock is
a progress disorder that only has a brief
period of time when it can be reversed with
limited or no permanent damage. As the patient
deteriorates and progresses into a deeper
degree of shock the mortality rate will rapidly
increase.
Consequently, patient's who are
in shock need immediate emergency care and need
to be treated at an appropriate medical
facility otherwise they most likely will
die.
