Pediatric Medicine represents an entire
world of medicine all by itself. Children are
not small adults. The anatomy and physiology
and assessment and treatment is uniquely
different than when compared to treating adult
patients. This is why there are Pediatric
Emergency Departments and Children's Hospitals.
This specialty in medicine is independent from
adult medicine because it needs to be.
Consequently, you need a Basic
First Aid course exclusively devoted to the
needs of the pediatric patient just like the
medical community has physicians and nurses
specially trained to work in pediatric
emergency departments and intensive care units.
An adult health care professional does not
automatically transfer to pediatrics. They are
trained to meet the special and unique needs of
the pediatric patient(s).
Parents, grandparents,
babysitter's, day care center personnel,
teachers and coaches can benefit from our
pediatric based First Aid and CPR training
programs.
