Environmental emergencies include any
emergency which occurs outside and is
associated with nature. So, it can be
associated with emergencies on land, in or on
bodies of water whether fresh or salt water.
Then there are other areas of wilderness such
as woods, wilderness, mountains, deserts and so
forth. Therefore, environmental emergencies
includes a diverse topic of emergencies ranging
from hypothermia (cold) and hyperthermia (heat)
to animal bites, envenomation from insects,
snakes, spiders, scorpions, ticks and more.
Then there are the injuries and associated
complications related to natural disasters.
Poisoning from plants can also
be included as well as any other environmental
based emergency. So when you go for your next
hike, swim or go camping are you prepared to
