Chest pain is primarily associated with
a person having a heart attack since it is
usually the primary problem when it is present.
However, not all chest pain is heart attack
related. Other etiogies of chest pain may be
minor while others can even be even more
serious than a heart attack. Not all chest
pains are created equal and each type of chest
pain needs a close examination and medical
follow-up. To illustrate consider the following
questions:
What about back pain between the shoulder
blades?
Is this the same as chest pain or is it more
or less serious?
Is chest pain the same for woman as with
men?
Is there such a thing as a silent or pain
free heart attack?
Our First Aid and CPR programs will provide
the answers to these questions.
