Descriptions
BLAST Babysitter Lessons and
Safety Training 4
Hrs
The BLAST – Babysitter Lessons and
Safety Training program is designed for
potential baby sitters and parents who are
considering hiring a babysitter, providing
extensive training in pediatric first aid,
household safety and child care.
Bloodborne Pathogens 1-2
hours
Worldwide, workers in health care related
fields are at risk of exposure to blood borne
pathogens, such as the HIV virus and hepatitis
B virus. Designed to meet the current OSHA
training requirements, Blood borne Pathogens was
created for students and employees who have
potential for occupational exposure to blood or
other potentially infectious materials, and
even has supplemental information on airborne
pathogens such as tuberculosis. The Fifth
Edition has been completely revised and updated
to comply with the 2005 guidelines for
cardiovascular resuscitation (CPR) and
emergency cardiovascular care (ECC). The
program assists in satisfying the training
requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor,
OSHA Blood borne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR
1910.1030).
CPR and AED 2 - 4
Hours
Completely updated and revised to include the
2005 guidelines for cardiovascular
resuscitation (CPR) and emergency
cardiovascular care (ECC), CPR and AED, Fifth
Edition integrates the training of CPR and AED
into one simple program. This program teaches
basic life support and addresses breathing and
cardiac emergencies in caring for adults,
children, and infants. It is also designed to
facilitate the efficient training, testing, and
retesting in the use of automated external
defibrillators (AEDs).
First Aid 3
Hours
Everyone should be able to perform first aid,
since most people will eventually find
themselves in a situation requiring it, either
for another person or for themselves. This
dynamic course is for individuals who want
first aid training without the CPR and AED
component. Current information on injuries and
illnesses is presented in an easy-to-understand
format. The text book also has outstanding
photos and illustrations.
First Aid, CPR, and AED –
Standard 6 Hours
This program covers all of the same information
covered in the First Aid program but is
enhanced with other first aid skills consisting
of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use
of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
pursuant to the new 2005 CPR and ECC
Guidelines.
Emergency Oxygen
Administration 1 - 1.5
Hours
Providing supplemental oxygen to those that
need it is an essential element of emergency
care. Oxygen Administration is designed to
provide an understanding of how to safely
handle and administer oxygen in various
settings. This program will cover all of the
basic fundamental components associated with
the administration of supplemental oxygen. The
techniques needed to administer oxygen to both
breathing and non-breathing patients will be
covered as it applies to patients who are
either injured or have a sudden and emergent
illness.
Pediatric First Aid for
Care givers and Teachers 5
Hours
The American
Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Pediatric First Aid
for Care givers and Teachers is a new national
pediatric first aid course that was developed
by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Care givers and teachers need to know what to do
when a child is injured or becomes suddenly and
severely ill. Most injuries that require first
aid are not life-threatening. Usually, first
aid involves simple, common sense procedures.
However, first aid can sometimes mean the
difference between life and death. All
care givers and teachers should have pediatric
first aid training.
The PedFACTS course is designed to give
care givers and teachers the education and
confidence that they need to effectively care
for children. Care givers and teachers need to

Pet First Aid - Disaster
Response 4 Hours
The Pet First Aid & Disaster Response
course is designed to help pet owners provide
temporary urgent care to pets until they can
reach a veterinary or emergency clinic or
facility. The course will teach participants to
care for their animals before, during and after
an emergency situation.
Sports First Aid and Injury
Prevention 2 - 5 Hours
When athletes become ill or injured during
practice or competition, coaches and athletic
trainers need to know how to respond. Whether
on the court, on the field, at the pool, or in
the gym, coaches and trainers must be prepared
to handle the common injuries and illnesses
they will likely encounter while coaching their sport.
Sports First
Aid and Injury Prevention teaches coaches and
trainers how to administer basic first aid to
sick and injured athletes as well as well ways
to prevent illnesses and injuries from
occurring. This Sports First Aid and Injury
Prevention program was developed to help
coaches and athletic trainers manage the common
emergencies they likely will encounter while
coaching their sport. The manual includes
coverage of the phases of injury and the injury
prevention model, prevention tips for
sports-related injuries common to specific
sports, and follow-up management and prevention
algorithms. Coaches and trainers will also
learn how to prevent on-the-field injuries and
prepare them to handle medical emergencies
should the need arise.
Wilderness First Aid: Emergency
Care for Remote Locations 6 - 8
Hours
Wilderness First Aid: Emergency Care for Remote
Locations provides information on how to handle
common injuries and illnesses when medical care
is an hour away or more. Designed for those who
work or travel in remote locations, this
comprehensive guide will teach you what to look
for and what to do in the event of an
emergency, and direct you to the most
appropriate type of care. Completely revised,
the Third Edition contains updated information
on first aid training and complies with current
cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and
emergency cardiovascular care (ECC)guidelines.
